Artist/Photographer Mary Keithan (May 2012) has had an intense interest in photography from a very early age. Growing up in Central Pennsylvania, her love for the lush natural world directed her artistic eye to capture it on film. Mary Keithan’s most recent photographic endeavor began in 2004 with a trip to the Everglades. Her fascination with the subtropical nature has turned into an annual expedition. Mary studied art at  Juniata College and The Pennsylvania State University (Bachelor of Fine Arts degree). She continued studies in Fine Art at Hunter College, New York City and Penn State (Master of Fine Arts degree). Throughout the years, she has had numerous one-person exhibitions as a fine art photographer and painter and is included in many public and private collections. She had two paintings chosen for the American Painters in Paris exhibition and her black & white photograph Desert Storm Barn was selected by New York Times critic Vicki Goldberg for the Light Impressions Biennial. Mary and her husband now reside in Palm Coast, Florida.
