Trong Gia Nguyen (December, 2012) is a Vietnamese-born artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Since earning an MFA from the University of South Florida in 1998, he has exhibited internationally in numerous exhibitions, including recent solo shows in New York, Berlin, and Ho Chi Minh City. Trong has received residencies and grants from the Museum of Art + Design, Legal Art, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Harvestworks Digital Media Center, Bronx Museum of the Arts, and Puffin Foundation. He currently serves on several advisory boards, including Florence Artist in Residency (FLOW), Elizabeth Foundation, and Fashion in Film Festival. Trong is also a prolific curator, having organized over 25 exhibitions and contributing texts and interviews to Art:21, New York Arts Magazine, and Flavorpill.
