Alan Winslow (April 2015) is a photographer and educator based in Brooklyn, New York. Winsolow earned a BA in Photography and Environmental Studies at the University of Buffalo, and his primary interest is in documenting micro-communities within the United States through portraiture. He has spent the past six years working on long-term projects with Restless Collective, which has taken him halfway around the world by bicycle, and all the way around the United States twice. Winslow is fascinated by individuals who are deeply passionate about their hobbies, whether birders in the Everglades, 4-H rabbit breeders, recreational salsa dancers, or fellow artists. He finds inspiration from people who are deeply involved in the things that excite them, and make them feel alive.
