Brookhart Jonquil holds a Masters of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a Bachelors of Fine Arts and a Bachelors of Arts in Art History from University of Arizona. He also studied at the Leipzig Academy of Art. Brookhart has had three solo exhibitions at Emerson Dorsch entitled Impulse as part of Pulse Miami, Never Odd or Even, and In a Perfect World. Recent solo exhibitions include Inverted Night at De La Cruz Collection (Miami, FL), Physical Spectrum at Los Caminos (St. Louis, MO), and Still Breathing at SAIC (Chicago, IL). Selected group exhibitions include The New Romantics at Eyebeam (New York, NY), Let’s Begin with a Line and Bubble Raft at Emerson Dorsch (Miami, FL), Four Minutes, Thirty-Three Seconds curated by Omar Lopez-Chahoud at Legal Arts (Miami, FL), Roy G Biv curated by Trong G. Nguyen at Waterhouse and Dodd (New York, NY), Inaugural Exhibition at Museum of Contemporary Art (Tucson, AZ), and Web Biennial 2007 at Istanbul Contemporary Art Museum (Istanbul, Turkey). Brookhart has been awarded an artist residency at Legal Art (Miami, FL) and Initiation Artist Residency (Oriahovo, Bulgaria). His work is included in the collections of University of Arizona Museum of Art and Oriahovo Gallery of Art, Bulgaria.
