On view at AIRIE Nest Gallery from August 7-September 25: Getting the Water Right
This photographic and ethnographic exhibition is a collaboration between prize-winning photographer Adam Nadel, an AIRIE Fellow in 2014, and UCLA anthropologist Jessica Cattelino. The installation of photographs, maps, video, text and artifacts address the many ways various groups of people affect, and are affected by, the ecosystem of the Everglades, in particular the water flow. The original exhibition was installed at5 site specific locations throughout the Park for the first half of 2017. Getting the Water Right is supported by the National Science Foundation, Magnum Foundation, Florida Humanities Council, Wenner-Gren Foundation and UCLA’s Laboratory for Environmental Narrative Strategies and the UCLA Social Sciences Dean Faculty Opportunity Fund.
