We welcome Jenny Ketterlin, an Invasive Species Biologist with Everglades National Park, who just joined the Park Service in late March. She has worked in the Everglades for over 14 years, first with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) conducting land management on the Everglades Complex of Wildlife Management Areas north of Everglades National Park, and then with the agency’s Nonnative Fish and Wildlife Program on invasive animal issues. Most recently she worked with the University of Florida researching nonnnative wildlife issues and crocodilians in the Greater Everglades. Her new role with the National Park Service will primarily be working with FWC and other partners to create an Interagency Burmese Python Management Plan. Jenny has remained active with the Everglades Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (ECISMA) throughout her career. ECISMA has been a driving force in organizing and coordinating efforts to combat invasive species throughout south Florida.
