Blooming World, an exhibition of paintings by Elisabeth Condon, includes fifteen new works drenched in pours of colorful, cloud-like swirls of compositional complexity. During her AIRIE residency, Condon researched the Everglades’ microclimates and topography to heighten her sense of layering water based pigments. The resulting work reflect intense field study of Florida’s ever changing landscape, presented in abstract forms with frequent symbolism. Specimens which influenced the artist while in residence will be on exhibit courtesy of the South Florida Collections Management Center. The exhibition is curated by Deborah Mitchell, AIRIE, Inc., Executive Director.
