Within your residency or one calendar year after your residency, you must complete and donate a piece of work within your discipline or chosen medium to Everglades National Park.
The donated piece should represent some aspect of Everglades National Park with regards to National Park Service standards. As a park donation, the artist is giving the right to Everglades National Park to reprint, copy, and reuse the donated artwork. The contributed art will be added to the Artist-In-Residence collection at Everglades National Park.
The artist retains copyright to artwork with AIRIE and NPS to have the ability to use the artwork for promotion and gallery purposes but not to sell or reprint. More details on this can be found in your artist contract.
To coordinate the donation, whether delivering the donation at the end of the residency or shipping the donated piece within the calendar year, you will coordinate with Daniel Blankenship (daniel_blankenship@nps.gov - 305-242-7754) to file a deed of gift and arrange for reception of the donation. Thank you for contributing your inspired vision of the cultural and natural landscapes of the park for future generations to appreciate.
Deed of Gift: The Deed of Gift should be signed and submitted with your donation directly to Everglades National Park.
The Donation Form: The online Donation Form should be filled out so we may keep a record of your donation and make it available for curatorial projects.
