Everglades National Park
Everglades National Park protects an unparalleled landscape of over 1.5 million acres (more than 2,000 square miles) of tropical and subtropical habitat with one of the world’s most diverse ecosystems.
An international treasure, the Everglades is acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and International Biosphere Reserve, a Wetland of International Importance, and a specially protected area under the Cartagena Treaty.
